Investor Education @ your library®

Do you have questions about how to invest for a financially secure retirement?

Do you know how your temperament affects your investing patterns?

Does determining how to distribute your savings in retirement seem daunting?

You are not alone.  Only 17 percent of people surveyed say they possess the important investor skills needed to adequately finance their retirement years, according to the Investor Protection Trust (IPT)/Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).

Like many Floridians, you have worked hard and you deserve peace of mind about your lifetime financial security.

Join us for a free “Investor Education @ your library®” series where you will learn how to make your money last through your retirement, preserve your nest egg, and develop a roadmap for investing wisely.

Register for this free, non-commercial investor education seminar. Seminars are offered at 15 different public libraries throughout the state of Florida.  A list of dates and locations are shown below. Registration is required by calling the participating public libraries.

This new program is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA), the Investor Protection Trust (IPT), and the Evelyn Brust Foundation, and supported by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation.

Investor Education @ your library® includes a 90 minute non-commercial presentation followed by break out sessions.  The seminar will cover the basics of bonds, stocks, mutual funds and saving for college and retirement. A representative from the Evelyn Brust Foundation will conduct the seminar.

The seminar includes material provided by the Investor Protection Trust, the Florida Office of Financial Regulation and the PBS Television series MoneyTrack.
